Associate Financial Advisor

We are looking for an Associate Advisor who will help us continue to grow through displaying our core values and serving our clients’ best interests.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Associate Advisor is responsible for working with a select group of the firm’s clients, including answering incoming requests, preparing for and conducting client review meetings under the supervision of a Lead Advisor, and researching solutions to meet client goals. This position works closely with other staff members to ensure that client requests are answered in the appropriate time frame.

Job Responsibilities

  • Help identify client needs and goals and develop relationships with clients using professional and engaging communication.

  • Update client records to ensure the most current information is reflected.

  • Meet with clients to go through paperwork; ensure that all required forms are completed accurately.

  • Generate investment and account reports for meetings with clients.

  • Conduct research using investment software and other online platforms.

  • Serve as a member of the firm’s investment committee.

  • Comply with all FINRA/SEC/Commonwealth compliance regulations and satisfy continuing education requirements.

  • Stay current on industry developments, service and product enhancements, regulatory issues, and local and global news.

  • This position requires occasional travel to meet with clients or attend conferences and events, sometimes overnight or for multiple days.

Required knowledge, skills, and competencies

  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 registrations

  • CFP® designation or ability to obtain within 1 year

  • Knowledge of investment industry operations and terminology

  • Proficiency with computer programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), CRM, and Morningstar®

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

  • Excellent people skills, including active listening, effective communication, and professional demeanor

  • Ability to:

    • Proofread and quality check work in accordance with firm criteria

    • Identify and solve problems in a timely, efficient, and effective manner

    • Prioritize workload and meet deadlines

    • Ability to take direction and complete tasks as assigned with a high level of attention to detail

Physical Demands & Work Environment

An employee in this role will be working in an office environment where they are regularly sitting, using a computer, and communicating with others and may occasionally lift 20 lbs.
