Looking to 2021
Dear Clients and Friends,
2020 was quite a year, full of challenges and strife. But there were some silver linings as well. People found themselves with more time on their hands, and they used that time to work on projects, on housework, on learning new things, and on themselves. People reached out more to friends and family far away, via video, phone, and messages. Many people grew closer to their neighbors, while staying six feet apart. Entire communities came together to express solidarity and to help and support each other in a myriad of ways.
In the world at large, commerce was severely impacted, but not as devastatingly as many expected. Stimulus measures were enacted by governments around the world, and while none were perfect, they were able to keep countless families from poverty and hunger. The natural world had a respite from human pollution as travel and non-essential production were locked down. There was historic multinational scientific and logistical coordination that led to a number of different vaccines using different methods, hopefully giving humanity a chance of putting the COVID-19 pandemic behind us sooner rather than later. In some surprising news that you might have missed among all the terrible headlines, NASA confirmed the discovery of water on the moon, and the Curiosity rover exploring Mars found evidence that indicates there could be life on the red planet. It is comforting to think that humanity progressed in some ways over the last twelve months, even as many of us were simply trying to keep our families safe and sane.
Now, we are excited for the year to come and the many great developments we hope it brings. This will be a year of new opportunities, new outlooks, and many new social and entertainment events!
As we look to 2021 and beyond, our mission is to help people make even better decisions with their money. To that end, we are always striving to invest “behind the scenes” in our team, our processes, and our technology, to try to bring as much value as we can to our client relationships. Our most recent development that we are excited to share with you is a new and improved website, which you can experience here! The new website is full of new design and new information. In particular, we have added a very useful new feature that allows you to schedule appointments with us directly from the Client tab, just below the account access section.
We encourage you to check out the new website and share any feedback you have. We hope you like it! Also, feel free to follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn for even more timely updates!
We hope that you and your family had a warm holiday season, and we wish you the best for the coming year. Thank you as always for the opportunity to work with you, and we will look forward to talking with you again soon!
Best Wishes,
Theodore R. Haley, CFP® AIF®
