Bob is the founder and Chairman of Advanced Wealth Management.

He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® certificant . He is an Investment Adviser Representative Commonwealth Financial Network (member FINRA/SIPC). 

Bob grew up in the Portland area and is a US Army veteran. He graduated from the University of Washington but is loyal to the Oregon schools.  He earned his law degree but after two years discovered he enjoyed law school more than the practice of law.  He entered the financial services industry in 1982, and in 1989 founded the firm that has become Advanced Wealth Management.  In 1999 he affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network.  He found that his legal background provided excellent training for estate planning, retirement planning, and advanced planning matters.

Bob is and has been a member of numerous professional organizations, and he has served on several non-profit boards.  He has given speeches throughout the country and has been quoted in many magazine and newspaper articles. He was awarded the 2023 Five Star Wealth Manager award (1).

He enjoys gathering, splitting, stacking and burning firewood in the two fireplaces on his property.  In addition every year he raises a colorful garden of flowers and vegetables.  As often as his schedule permits, his favorite activity is to be in the mountains, hiking and photographing dramatic landscapes, rock formations and waterfalls.
